Question- |
Can
Bisque Stroke underglaze colors be used on greenware? |
| |
|
|
Answer- |
Bisque Storke
underglazes are not designed for use on greenware. They are designed to
be applied to mature bisque, glazed and fired. If they are used on
greenware some color will be lost in the bisque firing of the clay at
cone 04. |

Question- |
I
would like to lighten the Blue Eyes Engobe for a background. Is it
possible to mix white with the Blue Eyes to achieve a lighter shade? |
| |
|
|
Answer- |
All the Engobe
colors can be intermixed, white can be used to lighten colors and black
to deepen. New colors can be created by mixing two or more colors
together. When mixing always measure your proportions, mix well and
stain to insure a thorough mix. |

Question- |
Filigrana is white in the bottle and when it is fired, is there anyway
of tinting this product before using? |
| |
|
|
Answer- |
Filigrana can
be tinted with any of the Engobe colors. The filigrana is white so when
tinting with a color the color will be lighter. Also adding a color may
thin the Filigrana slightly. |
