Florentine Design Glazes - What is a Florentine Design Glaze? We've created the Florentine Design Glazes as a multi-purpose glaze. These glazes are concentrated, Non-toxic and Dinnerware-safe colors. They can be used in design work or to acheive a watercolor effect, but also for full coverage on mature 04 bisque and glaze fired to cone 06

  • Use 1 to 3 coats for stroke/pattern work and apply clear glaze on top before firing.
  • Use 3 coats as a stand alone full coverage without clear glaze on top. Result is a beautiful opaque gloss glaze.
  • The Florentines are completely mixable, to achieve hundreds of hues.
  • Easy To Use

Liquid Gold and Metallics - hobby COLOROBBIA®'s metal lustres and gold are in colloidal form and contain dissolved metals as a main component. These products are generally applied by brush or other appropriate methods on chinaware, glass, and earthenware. The application should always be on clean glass or glazed objects. The recommended firing temperatures are as follows :

  • GLASS: witness cone 024-022 (test glass for proper temperature).

  • GLAZED EARTHENWARE: witness cone 019-016

  • CHINAWARE: witness cone 016-014.

Before firing, allow objects to sit in a dust-free, warm room for several hours to dry. During firing, be sure the kiln has not been overloaded and that there is plenty of ventilation; leave the lid propped open slightly and remove peep hole plugs to allow vapors to escape.

hobby COLOROBBIA® metal lustres and liquid gold include gold, platinum, mother-of-pearl (iris), bright lustres, and thinners for obtaining either special effects or to make application easier.
